Pulao is very popular Preparation all over the India ,The Basanti Pulao is popular in Bengal & slightly sweet in taste because of the use of sugar in it and so it goes well with very hot and spicy curries. Its color is yellow thats why its name is basanti pulao.
Soak rice for half an hour
Now drain water add butter, garam masala, Ginger, turmeric and salt
Now leave this for 1/2 an hour.
Now take a pan heat oil in low flame add cumin seeds when crackle add cashew
Cook till brown
Now add raisin, cloves , Cinnamon, cardamom, bay leaf and ,red chillie powder stir it and cook it
now add rice stir
Cook for 2 minutes, Add 2 cup warm water put gas on medium flame.
Cover lid cook for 8 minutes
Now put gas on low flame
add sugar and little salt Mix well
Now cook for another 2 minutes
Pulao is ready to serve.
