ABOUT Paneer Pulao RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Paneer 200 g
  2. Butter 2 tbsp
  3. Carrot 2 (chopped)
  4. Beans 8 (chopped)
  5. Green peas 1/2 cup
  6. Onion 2 (chopped)
  7. Tomatoes 2 (chopped)
  8. Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  9. Green chilies 2
  10. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  11. Cardamom pods 2
  12. Cloves 3
  13. Cinnamon a small piece
  14. Bay leaf 1
  15. Cooked Ghee rice 4 cups
  16. Ghee 1/4 cup
  17. vegetable oil 2 tbsp
  18. Cashew nuts 2 tbsp
  19. Salt as required

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a pan.
  2. Fry the paneer cubes lightly until they turn just light brown in color.
  3. Remove from pan and set aside.
  4. To the same pan add the ghee and oil
  5. Fry the cashew nuts and keep them aside for later use.
  6. Next add the cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and bay leaf and saute for a minute
  7. Add onions and saute until they turn soft and pink.
  8. Next add the ginger garlic paste and green chilies and saute until the raw smell goes off.
  9. Next add the carrots, beans, and green peas and saute for 2 minutes.
  10. Add the turmeric powder and saute.
  11. Next add in the chopped tomatoes and saute until they turn soft.
  12. Add salt as required and mix well.
  13. Add the cooked ghee rice and mix well.
  14. Garnish with fried cashew nuts.
  15. Serve hot with pickle and raitha.
