ABOUT Paneer Pakoda RECIPE

Paneer pakoda is a favorite tea time snack with all age groups.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 125 gm - Paneer (cottage cheese)
  2. 1/2 Cup - Besan (gram flour)
  3. 1/4 tsp - Turmeric Powder
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Red chilli powder to taste
  6. Oil for frying
  7. Water as required
  8. 1/4 tsp - Baking soda

Instructions

  1. Warm water and dip paneer into it for 1 minutes then pat dry it. Now cut paneer in rectangular shapes.
  2. In a bowl take besan, turmeric powder, salt, red chilli powder and make a batter by slowly adding water to it. Stir to make sure that no lumps. Add baking soda and mix again to make a smooth batter.
  3. Heat oil in kadhai (wok). Dip paneer in besan batter and deep fry it. Remove the pakodas on absorbent paper and then serve with sauce or chutney.
