ABOUT Brazilian Grilled Pineapple RECIPE

Brazilian grilled pineapple is a famous dish that comes from Brazilian cuisine and is served both as a snack and a dessert. Peeled pineapple is cut in round slices or wedges and coated with brown sugar and cinnamon powder. Marinated for some time and later grilled to get charred. A amazingly delightful and flavorful recipe that almost gives you a burst of flavors in your palate. The tangy pineapple, sweet brown sugar, absolutely aromatic cinnamon gives an awesome flavor ride. Slight use of lemon juice and red chili powder makes the dish even more interesting.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 - Pineapple, sliced into roundels
  2. 1/2 cup - Brown sugar
  3. 1 tsp - Cinnamon powder
  4. 2-3 drops - Lemon juice
  5. 2 pinch - Chili powder
  6. 1/2 tsp - Butter

Instructions

  1. Take a medium sized pineapple, peel , chore and cut into round slices. In a large zip bag add pineapple along with brown sugar and cinnamon powder. Zip lock the bag and shake it vigorously such that the sugar and cinnamon powder gets coated all over the slices.
  2. Refrigerate the bag for 10-12 mins.
  3. Heat a non stick grill pan and brush it with butter.
  4. Remove the pineapple slices from the zip lock bag and line them on the grill pan in batches.
  5. Grill from both sides till charred.
  6. Transfer the slices on a serving plate and sprinkle some lemon juice and chili powder. Serve hot.
