Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Leftover rice - 1/2 Cup
  2. Gram flour - 1 Cup
  3. Yellow Maize flour - 1/2 Cup
  4. Grated ginger - 1 tsp
  5. Grated carrot - 2 tsp
  6. Roasted ground Zeera - 1 tsp
  7. Ajwain - 1 tsp
  8. Roasted Sesame seeds - 1 tsp
  9. Coriander leaves, finely chopped - 1 tsp
  10. Salt, chilli powder, turmeric - to taste
  11. Curd - 1 tbsp
  12. Oil - 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Blend rice smooth adding little water.
  2. Take both the flours in a bowl, add all the masalas, garlic and curd. Make a batter for Pudla (pancake). Add grated Carrot and mix. Adjust salt.
  3. Heat a nonstick pan, spread 1/2 tsp oil. Add a laddle full of batter. Cover and let one side cook.
  4. Spread half tsp oil on other side and flip over. Cover again with a lid and cook for half minute.
  5. For kids ( below 2 yrs) covering while making pudlas helps to make them soft.
  6. You can spread Sesame seeds and roasted Kasoori methi (after rubbing between palms) over it.
  7. Serve with curd.
