Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. All purpose flour - 1 Cup
  2. Rolled oats - 1 Cup
  3. Buttermilk - 11/2 Cup
  4. Castor sugar / regular sugar powder - 11/4 Cup
  5. Baking soda - 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
  7. Vegetable Oil - 1/2 cup + 1 tablespoon for greasing doughnut molds
  8. Egg - 1
  9. Salt - 1 teaspoon
  10. Vanilla essence - 1 teaspoon
  11. For Icing - Cooking chocolate 200 ml
  12. Butter - 50 gram
  13. Condensed milk - 100 ml

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven at 190 degree centigrade.
  2. Combine oats and buttermilk and let the mixture stand for 5.minutes.
  3. In a medium size bowl combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt and set aside.
  4. In a large bowl beat together egg, oil. Castor sugar, and vanilla.
  5. Blend in the oat mixture then stir in the flour mixture, till everything is incorporated well.
  6. Grease all the doughnut molds with a little oil. Fill the molds with the doughnut mix up to 3/4 full.
  7. Bake these doughnut muffins at 190 degree centigrade for 12 -14 minutes.
  8. While doughnuts are getting baked, take a pan and add some water, keep it for boiling.
  9. Take another Borosil bowl and add the cooking chocolate pieces.
  10. Melt butter in a microwave for 30 second and add this melted butter in a cooking chocolate bowl.
  11. Keep this chocolate and butter mixture on a pan in which water is getting boiled now reduce the boiler to medium and mix butter and cooking chocolate with a spatula. To this add in condensed milk and mix with a spatula so that all the ingredients incorporate with each other. reduce the flame to low and leave this mixture for 2 minute. Switch off the flame .
  12. You can check the doughnut muffins by inserting toothpick if it comes out clean then they are fully baked. Remove and let them rest for 2-3 minutes.
  13. Demould the doughnut muffins and dip them in chocolate milkmaid sauce or ganache. Let them rest at room temperature for 5 minutes or you can chill them inside the fridge for 5 minutes.
  14. Your doughnut muffins are ready to serve.
