Take 1/2 cup of warm milk and add 2&1/2 tablespoon of sugar and 1 teaspoon of yeast.
Mix and keep aside for 7-8minutes to broom.
In a big mixing bowl mix together flour, milk powder and salt.
When yeast brooms add one egg to the yeast mixture and mix.
Add the mixture to the flour and start mixing.
Heat 1 cup of milk with unsalted butter.
Add the warm milk mixture to the flour mixture .
Mix and make a very sticky dough.
To make the dough soft and sticky is very important to get soft and fluffy donuts. Add more warm milk if necessary to make the dough.
Cover and keep the dough in a relatively warm place of your house.
Keep the dough untouched for about 2 hours or until it becomes double in size.
After 2 hours my doughbecomes double in size.
Punch the dough to remove air and knead it for about 10 minutes with stretch and fold method. It will help to get the right texture of donuts.
Again cover and keep aside for an hour to duble the dough.
Line a baking tray with baking sheet.
My dough is again puffed up. It is very soft and smooth now.
After an hour transfer the dough in a working surface and roll it about 1/2" thick disk.
With a cookie cutter or any other round disk cut the roti in circles.
With another relatively small round cutter cut the centre of the big disk to give a doughnut shape.
Transfer it to the baking tray.
Like this make all the doughnuts.
I could accommodate 11 doughnuts in my tray. I keep the dough covered to make them in the next batch.
Again keep the doughnuts for about 15 to 20 minutes to raise.
Brush the surface of the doughnuts with milk.
Preheat oven at 180 degree C for 10 minutes.
Bake the doughnuts in the middle rack of the oven with both rods on for 15 minutes or until light golden brown .
Take out the baked doughnuts from oven and keep aside to cool.
In the meantime make the glaze.
Take 1/2 cup of white chocolate chips in a microwave safe plate.
Melt them in the microwave .
Add little warm milk and mix well.
Coat the upper part of the doughnuts with warm glaze and keep in wire rack or tray to set.
Sprinkle some sugar sprinklers on the top.
For different colour I add a pinch of red colour to chocolate mixture and coat some doughnuts.
For chocolate coating I make chocolate glaze by melting leftover chocolate chips with little milk and cocoa powder.
At last dust some icing sugar from the top.
Colourful baked doughnuts are ready to serve.
Aren't they look attractive!
