ABOUT Maize Flour Thepla RECIPE

Thepla is traditionally Gujrati cuisine which is made from wheat flour but I have taken maize flour as a main ingredient. Trust me it's more tasty and healthier than the wheat one.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Maize flour (Makai aata) - 1 Cup
  2. Wheat flour - 1/4 Cup
  3. Chopped fenugreek leaves - 1/2 Cup
  4. Curd 2 tablespoon
  5. Turmeric powder 1/2tsp
  6. Green chilli paste - 1 tsp
  7. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Oil as needed

Instructions

  1. In a bowl add all ingredients except oil and knead the dough like chapati.
  2. Make theplas using rolling pin. Heat little oil in nonstick skillet and shallow fry theplas.
  3. Serve with mango pickle.
