ABOUT Daal Methi RECIPE

Healthy Combination of dhuli masoor daal and methi leaves.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Dhuli masoor daal - 200 grams
  2. Methi leaves - 350 grams
  3. Oil - 4 Tsp
  4. Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
  5. Onion - 1 (chopped)
  6. Ginger garlic paste - 4 tsp
  7. Green chilies - 4 (chopped)
  8. Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  9. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  10. Salt as required
  11. Dhaniya powder - 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Wash methi leaves and remove stems, chop finely. Wash daal and soak in water for half an hour
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add garam masala, when it starts giving a nice aroma add onions and fry till transparent. Add ginger garlic paste and cook till raw smell goes off.
  3. Add chopped methi leaves and green chilies. Cook till methi becomes dark green. Add red chilli, dhaniya, turmeric powder and salt, cook till oil separates.
  4. Add daal and one cup water, close the lid of pan and cook on low flame till dal becomes soft.
  5. Daal methi is ready to serve.
