ABOUT Homemade Rice Flour Powder RECIPE

Rice flour is very essential, handy ingredient. We use this gluten free flour for making various Indian snacks and sweets. You can prepare it fresh in small amounts whenever needed.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Raw rice - 250gm
  2. Sieve -1

Instructions

  1. Soak the raw rice in water for at least 1 hour.
  2. Drain the water from rice and dry the rice on cloth for 3 to 4 hours.
  3. Transfer the rice to the blender when all the water evaporates. Grind till it becomes a fine powder. Sieve it until you get rava like mixture on mesh. Transfer remaining rice to blender and grind again in small batches. Don't discard the rava on mesh. you can make biyapu rava upma with it.
  4. Once you get the fine rice powder, dry roast it for few minutes. Cool and store in airtight container.
