ABOUT Baked Potato Wedges RECIPE

These potatoes taste just like the deep fried ones but they are easier and less messy to make since they are baked. Potato wedges go well with so many different meals but are also great on their own at parties and barbecue, They are super easy to make.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 250 gram Potatoes, 2 large potatoes or 3 medium potatoes or 6 small potatoes
  2. 1 Small to medium garlic minced or crushed to a paste
  3. 1/4 Red chilli powder
  4. 1/4 tsp thyme or 1 tsp of mixed herbs
  5. 2 tbsp Olive oil or 1 tbsp Veg oil
  6. salt as needed

Instructions

  1. Boil potatoes till only 1 whistle in pressure cooker. Once they are cool, peel them and cut into wedges by cutting length wise.
  2. In a mixing bowl or in a pan take all the herbs, salt and oil, mix everything very well. Add the potatoes to the seasoning mixture, mix well.
  3. Line a baking tray with parchment paper or aluminium foil, preheat oven at 200 degree Celsius for 10 minutes.
  4. Line the potatoes on the parchment paper.
  5. Place the baking tray in the oven bake at 200 degrees Celsius for about 25 to 30 minutes.
  6. Halfway through the baking, remove the tray and with the help of tongs or spoon turn over all the wedges, keep back in the oven.
  7. Bake till the potatoes become crisp and golden ,timing varies from oven to oven so do keep a check.
  8. Serve baked potato wedges hot or warm with tomato sauce, chilli sauce or coriander chutney.
