Lazeez Tinda dal is a twist to the boring yellow moong dal. This twist makes it more tasty and healthy.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Moong dal 1 cup
  2. Tinde (Round guard ) 4
  3. Onion chopped 1
  4. Tomato chopped 1
  5. Raw green mango chopped 1
  6. Mustard seeds 1\2 tsp
  7. Curry leaves
  8. Ghee 1 tablespoon
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon
  11. Garam masala 1/2 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Wash the moong dal and put it in a cooker
  2. Now cut the tindas into small pieces and add them in the cooker
  3. Add salt and turmeric powder in the cooker.
  4. Close the cooker carefully with a lid
  5. Cook it on a high flame and after a whistle cook on a slow flame for 10 minutes.
  6. Heat oil in a wok and put into it mustard seeds, curry leaves and red chillies.
  7. Now add Into the wok, onions. When they become golden brown, add tomatoes and raw mango. Cook for 2 minutes.
  8. Now add the prepared Dal in the wok. Add salt, red chilli powder and garam masala as per taste.
  9. Cook for 5-10 minutes and the dal is ready.
  10. Serve hot with boiled rice and chappati .
