Kanji is a beautiful and flavorful refreshing drink.It keeps you away from heat strokes and stomach infections too.It is a must a drink, in summer which will keep you hydrated.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Black carrots - 5 large
  2. Salt - 4 tbsp(adjust)
  3. Red chili coarse powder -2 tbsp
  4. Mustard powder - 4 to 5 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Scrub the carrots, wash and peel and cut into batons.
  2. Take carrot batons in a bowl or a jar and add salt, coarse red chili powder, mustard powder and mix it well.
  3. Now add around 20 cups of water and stir.
  4. Cover the bowl with a muslin cloth and tie it around the rim.
  5. Let it stand in the sun for 3 to 4 days.
  6. After 3 to 4 days stir it again and keep it in the refrigerator and enjoy it chilled.
