ABOUT Sev Khamni RECIPE

Made of chana dal, ginger, garlic and green chilly paste.

Ingredients Serving: 1

  1. 2 cups chana Dal
  2. 1 tsp Ginger paste
  3. 1 tsp Green chillies paste
  4. 1 tsp Garlic paste
  5. 1 tbsp Coriander leaves
  6. 2 tbsp grated fresh coconut
  7. 1 cup sev
  8. 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
  9. Salt to taste
  10. 2 tbsp Oil
  11. 1 tsp mustard seeds
  12. Asafoetida a pinch

Instructions

  1. Soak chana dal for 4 to 5 hours.Grind it coarsely.
  2. In a pan, add oil, mustard seeds, asafoetida and coarsely ground chana dal.
  3. Then add ginger, garlic, green chilly paste and salt.Stir till raw smell goes away and dal gets cooked.
  4. Place in s serving plate.Garnish with sev, freshly grated coconut, coriander leaves and finely chopped onions.
