ABOUT Chana daal er pitha / chana daal sweet RECIPE

It's a Bengali cuisine sweet specially made on occasions during winters.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 500 grams of channa dal or Bengal gram boiled and smashed nicely
  2. Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
  3. Maida/ all purpose flour 1/2 cup
  4. For sugar syrup:
  5. 1 cup sugar with 1 cup of water
  6. Oil for deep fry

Instructions

  1. Mix boiled and smashed​ dal/ lentils with maida and coconut.
  2. Take small ball of it and make burfi / diamond shape with it.
  3. Heat oil and fry those diamond shape one by one.
  4. Fry it till golden in medium flame.
  5. Pour each into sugar syrup and keep for sometime.
  6. Take them out once it absorbs the syrup. Serve warm.
