ABOUT Dahi wale gunda (lasoda) RECIPE

These gummy berries come in summer season. We make stuffed gunda keri pickle, stuffed gunda vegetable and this is a sambhara style gunda.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Gunda- 250 gms
  2. Oil- 1 tbsp
  3. Mustard seeds- 1/2 tsp
  4. Turmeric- 1/4 tsp
  5. Salt as per taste
  6. Curd- 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the gundas.
  2. Now deseed the gundas with a fork or pointed knife dipped in salt.
  3. Take oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds when oil heats.
  4. Add the deseeded gundas along with salt and turmeric and saute till everything is mixed.
  5. Cover and cook for 3 minutes.
  6. Again stir so that gundas are evenly cooked.
  7. After 2 minutes you will see that they are nicely cooked and golden in colour.
  8. Now keep gas at slow and add the curd. Mix properly.
  9. Increase the flame and keep stiring till all curd is absorbed in the gundas.
  10. In the end you will see oil releasing from gundas. Switch off the gas and serve these yummy gundas along with your lunch or dinner.
