ABOUT Fenugreek leaves salad (Methicha khuda) RECIPE

Fenugreek salad known as "methicha khuda" in maharashtra, its a very old salad recipe made at my place very frequently. By making it in this form of salad reduces its bitterness to much extent. This salad has high nutritive values as wel as its diabetic friendly too. So do surely give it a try and serve as a side dish which khichdi or any of your daily meals.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Fenugreek leaves (methi) 1 cup
  2. Chopped onion 1 small
  3. Chopped tomato 1 small
  4. Lemon juice 1 tsp
  5. Sugar 1/2 tsp
  6. Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  7. Oil 1 tsp
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Red chilly powder to taste

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl mix methi, onion, tomato and salt.
  2. Heat oil in a small pan, add cumin seeds to it and turn off the gas.
  3. After few seconds add red chilli powder.
  4. Now add tadka over the methi mixture.
  5. Add in sugar, lemon juice and mix properly.
  6. Enjoy as a side dish with any of your meal.
