ABOUT Delicious Karachi Fruit Biscuits RECIPE

Tutti Fruity is a candied fruit made of raw papaya. It is easily available in the market. Different color of tutti fruit is because of addition of different food colors to the raw papaya.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. All purpose flour- 1.5 cup
  2. Refined sugar- 1 cup
  3. Custard powder- 1/2 cup
  4. Tutti fruity- 1/2 cup
  5. Milk- 5 tbs
  6. Baking powder- 1/2 tsp
  7. Pineapple essence- 1 tbs
  8. Unsalted Butter- 1/2 cup
  9. Salt- 1/4 tsp

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, take all purpose flour, baking powder, salt, custard powder and tutti fruity. Mix well.
  2. In another bowl, take butter, essence, milk and sugar. Mix it well this you get a creamy mixture.
  3. Start adding dry ingredients with wet ingredients. Using your hands just combine all the ingredients and make a dough. Don’t over knead it.
  4. Place a plastic wrap on your working counter and place the dough on it. Shape the dough into a log shape.
  5. Wrap it well and keep it in refrigerator for about an hour. Meanwhile, preheat the oven at 180 C.
  6. Now take out the dough and cut it into ¼ inch thick slices.
  7. Place a parchment paper on the baking tray and place each slice on it by leaving some space in between as cookies will expand when bake.
  8. Bake these cookies in a preheated oven at 180C for 12-15 min. Once done, keep baked cookies on a wired rack for some time. Your cookies are ready to serve.
