Tangy makhni gravy with paneer balls is really yummy. Every one loves it specially in North India. Without makhni gravy every celebration is incomplete.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For kofta : Paneer 150 gram
  2. Boiled Potato 1
  3. Bread slice 1
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Black pepper powder 1/4 teaspoon
  6. Garam masala 1/4 teaspoon​
  7. Jeera (cumin seeds) 1/2 teaspoon
  8. Green chilli thinly sliced 1/2
  9. Ginger paste 1/4 teaspoon
  10. Almond powder 2 tablespoons
  11. FOR GRAVY:
  12. Tomatoes 6 large
  13. Kashmiri red chillies​ 2
  14. Onion 1 large
  15. Ginger 1 inch piece
  16. Garlic 4 pods
  17. Almonds 6
  18. cashews 10
  19. Cloves 4
  20. Green cardamom 2
  21. Bay leave 2
  22. Cinnamon 1 stick
  23. Butter 2 tablespoons
  24. Cream 2 tablespoons
  25. Salt to taste
  26. turmeric a pinch
  27. Garam masala 1/2 teaspoon
  28. Green chilli 1 slitted

Instructions

  1. First cut the tomatoes roughly add Kashmiri red chillies, almonds, cashews and add 2 tablespoons of water and put it into a pressure cooker and cook till one whistle.
  2. Now roughly cut the onion, ginger and garlic.
  3. When tomatoes​ are done let it cool down and put it into a blender and make a fine puree.
  4. After this put onion, ginger , garlic, cloves, cardamons, Cinnamon into a pressure cooker with two tablespoons of water. Cook till one whistle.
  5. When this is done let it cool and remove the khada masalas and put it into a blender and also make a fine puree of it.
  6. Now start making koftas. Mash paneer, boiled potato. Add bred slice and mash all things properly. Make a smooth dough.
  7. Now add all other Ingredients which are given for making koftas. Mix it well. And give it the shape of koftas.
  8. Now heat the refined oil and fry these.
  9. It's time for gravy. Add two tablespoons of butter in pan add bay leave and add onion puree cook it well. When it leaves the pan it means masala is ready. And add tomato puree and cook it well. When masala is done .
  10. Add turmeric Powder, salt, green chilli. And garam masala. Cook for 2 minutes. Add water and cook it well. Add cream to it cook for 2 minutes. Put off the gas.
  11. Now add koftas to the gravy. Your dish is ready. Garnish with coriander.
  12. Serve it with naan, chapati or plain rice.
