For marinating the fish :
Wallago catfish 8 pieces
Salt as required
Turmeric powder 2 teaspoon
Red chilli powder 2 teaspoon
For gravy :
2 to 3 cinnamon sticks
2 big onions paste
Ginger and garlic paste 2 tablespoons
Yogurt 2 Tablespoons
Tomato puree ½ cup
Salt to taste
Red chilli powder 2 teaspoons
Coriander powder 1 teaspoons
Garam masala powder 1 teaspoons
Pinch of sugar
Some cashew nuts
Some Raisins
Instructions
Wash the fish and marinate with salt, turmeric powder and red chilli powder and keep it for 15 minutes.
Take a pan and heat the oil. Fry the marinated fish in both sides. Keep aside.
At the same time take another pan. Heat the oil and fry cinnamon sticks.
Add onions paste and fry until brown.
Add ginger and garlic paste and mix.
Now add thick curd and salt. Mix very well.
Next add tomato puree and mix.
Now add all the masala powder like red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder and pinch of sugar.
Add some water.
Add some cashew nuts and raisins.
Now add the fried fishes gently.
When the gravy is thick serve hot.
