ABOUT Dhokle (Sweetcorn and Pea Stuffed) RECIPE

Rice flour, semolina and gram flour soft dhokle.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Semolina (suji) 1cup
  2. Rice flour 1/2cup
  3. Gram flour (besan) 1/2cup
  4. Pea 1/2 cup
  5. Sweetcorn 1/2cup
  6. Turmeric 2tbsp
  7. baking soda 1tbsp
  8. Green coriander leaves 1/4cup
  9. Eno 1pouch
  10. Lemon 1/2slice
  11. Salt to taste
  12. For tempering
  13. Oil 2tbsp
  14. Asafoetida (hing) a pinch
  15. Cumin seeds 2tbsp
  16. Mustard seeds
  17. Curry leaves 10 leaves
  18. sugar 1tbsp
  19. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl take rice flour, gram flour and semolina
  2. Add coriander leaves, sweetcorn, pea salt, baking soda and lemon
  3. Mix it well leave for 5 minutes. Now add ENO powder and whisk it into a smooth paste
  4. Fill it in a greased plate and put in dhokla maker in a sim mode for 15 minutes
  5. Turn off the flame wait for 5 minutes and make pieces
  6. For tempering: Heat oil in a pan add cumin, mustard seeds and when crackling stops add hing, curry leaves again when crackle sound stops add sugar ,salt and 4tbsp water. Spread it evenly on dhokla It's ready to eat
