It is a perfect snack item for any parties ,very less amount of oil has been used to prepare these delicious balls ,it is healthy as well as tasty

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. potatoes 2( boiled and mashed)
  2. Peas 1 cup( boiled and mashed)
  3. corn flour 3 spoons
  4. salt as per taste
  5. baking powder half teaspoon
  6. for stuffing -- yellow lentils( moong dal half cup, soaked in water for minimum 2 hours)
  7. cumin half teaspoon
  8. Asafoetida 2 pinches
  9. green chilli (finely chopped) 1 teaspoon
  10. grated Ginger one teaspoon
  11. coriander powder one teaspoon
  12. Red chilli powder half teaspoon
  13. Chaat masala half teaspoon
  14. salt as per taste
  15. coriander leaves( finely chopped) 1 teaspoon
  16. Refined oil as required

Instructions

  1. grind the dal coarsely
  2. Heat 2 spoon of oil in a frying pan
  3. Add asafoetida and cumin
  4. add green chilli, grated Ginger, coriander powder, red chilli powder, chat masala ,salt and coriander leaves
  5. stir it for 1 minute
  6. now add the dal and mix it well
  7. Fry it for 1 -2 minutes and turn off the gas
  8. keep the mixture aside for cooling
  9. in a plate take potatoes, peas, baking powder, corn flour and salt
  10. mix it well
  11. take small portion and give it a small bowl like shape
  12. place little amount of stuffing in the middle
  13. make it a round ball
  14. applying the same process make all the balls
  15. In a non stick frying pan heat little amount of oil and Shallow fry the balls
  16. Serve hot
