ABOUT Neer Dosa (Mangalore delicacy) RECIPE

Its a regional delicacy of Mangalore or Dakshina Kanada, Karnataka. Easy dosa without any fermentation.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Dosa rice-1 cup
  2. Freshly grated coconut-1/4 cup
  3. Oil to prepare dosa
  4. Water as required
  5. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Soak rice in water for 2 hours. Grind together rice and coconut gratings into very fine paste
  2. Now add water to prepare very thin consistency dosa batter. Add salt to this.
  3. Heat the iron skillet, apply oil, reduce the flame, throw the thin batter on the skillet so that it covers the skillet completely.
  4. Close and cook the dosa on high flame until done. Do not flip the dosa.
  5. Fold them and serve hot with dal or chutney of choice.
