ABOUT BasarWara Pakoda ( Onion Bhajis ) RECIPE

Sindhi Bhajiyas are made with thin cut onions, green chillies , whole crushed dhania in ChickPea Batter, Double fried to get a unique Crunch in every bite

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 cups Chickpea flour ( Besan )
  2. 2 small Onions, chopped very fine
  3. 2 Green Chillies, chopped
  4. 1 tablespoon whole coriander seeds, crushed coarsely
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Water as needed
  7. Oil for Deep frying
  8. 2 tablespoon fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, take the Chickpea flour and add chopped onion, green chillies, ground whole dhania, salt, red chilli powder and green fresh coriander.
  2. Add water to make a thick , smooth paste.
  3. Rest it for 5 minutes.
  4. Heat oil for deep frying.
  5. With a big serving spoon / icecream scooper, put in a few dumplings and fry just a bit.
  6. These will be still raw in the centre,
  7. From each round, break off 4-5 small bhajiyas.
  8. Again, fry these smaller pieces on low to medium heat till crisp.
  9. Hot, spicy, crispy pakodas are ready.
