ABOUT Poori Paratha RECIPE

A poori, soft inside & crunchy outside, in the shape of lacha paratha. This goes well with any curry.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. All purpose flour 1 cup
  2. Salt to taste
  3. Water to make dough.
  4. Cornflour 3 tbsp
  5. Oil 3 tbsp
  6. Oil to deep fry.

Instructions

  1. Make a smooth dough with maida, salt & water. Keep aside for 1 hr.
  2. Mix cornflour & oil,make a paste.
  3. Make 4 balls out of the dough. Roll into thin chappathi. Spread 1tbsp of cornflour mix all over it then fold the 2 ends,like 3 layers. Then from one end , fold to the other end,like a small cylider. Press it. Repeat the same process with the rest of the balls.
  4. Heat oil in a kadai.
  5. Take each ball , roll it flat, not very thick.
  6. Deep fry each poori paratha,in hot oil. Cook on a medium flame,till golden brown.
  7. Put it on a towel, to remove excess oil.
  8. Serve hot with any gravy.
