ABOUT Sookhi Roti( gatti rotti) RECIPE

A healthy roti. It goes great with non-veg gravy.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Boiled Rice 1 cup
  2. Dosa rice 1 cup
  3. Grated coconut 1 1/2 cup
  4. salt as per taste
  5. Banana leaves 10 (cut into square 15x 15 cm)

Instructions

  1. First soak the both rice at least for ten hours or overnight
  2. Clean and wash the rice, grind into a smooth paste by adding a little water. Atta should be very thick like chapati dough.add salt.
  3. After removing from the grinder, add grated coconut.
  4. Take a banana leaf, and take a handful of atta. spread on the leave(3/4 inch thickness) Cover with another banana leaf
  5. Heat mitti ka tava(tava made of mud)put the banana leaves on the hot tava cook for three to four mins on high to medium flame.
  6. Remove the leaves and flip it over and cook for another two mins on the other sides too
  7. Serve hot with any gravy, especially non-veg gravy
