ABOUT Jowar (pearl millet) Bhakri RECIPE

When you say authentic Maharashtrian thali , its incomplete without Jowarichi Bhakar with Junka.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Jowar atta - 2 cups
  2. Oil - 1tsp
  3. salt as per taste
  4. Water as per needed to make dough
  5. Ghee (clarified butter) as per needed its optional

Instructions

  1. Take atta in a deep vessel add oil and salt to it and maje dough neither too hard nor too soft .
  2. Take a ball of dough in a rolling pin dust with dry flour and pat it with palm to make a flat round bhakri
  3. Heat a flat pan (tawa) and roast the bhakri on both the side till done.
  4. Apply ghee and serve hot with Jhunka or as per your taste.
