ABOUT Aloo Paneer Paratha RECIPE

Wholesome stuffed paratha to kickstart the day.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 large Potatoes boiled and mashed
  2. 1/2 cup paneer grated ( you may also use homemade chhena)
  3. 1 teaspoon jeera powder
  4. 1/2 teaspoon dhania powder
  5. 1/4 teaspoon Red chili powder OR 2 green chillies chopped finely
  6. 1 bunch dhania patta chopped
  7. Salt to taste
  8. For the Dough -
  9. 2 cups whole wheat flour or multigrain flour
  10. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  11. Water to bind the dough
  12. Oil to fry the parathas

Instructions

  1. Make a soft dough with the atta salt and water. Cover and keep aside.
  2. In a bowl mix the potatoes, paneer , jeera powder , dhania powder , salt , green chillies , dhania patta and mix well
  3. Divide the dough into portions and fill with the prepared stuffing.
  4. Roll out the parathas and fry with little oil on a tawa.
  5. Serve hot with achar and dahi.

This recipe reminds me of my great grandmother from when I was a little girl. She would prepare paranthas this way
