These appams look perfect!
Take a vessel & put the rice in it. Wash it & soak for 4 to 5 hours.
Now wash the poha & keep aside
In a mixer grind the rice along with the coconut & poha to a smooth batter.
Add salt & sugar. Mix well. Now put yeast & give a nice stir. Keep it for fermenting in a big vessel as it may rise up.
If the batter is thick you can dilute it by adding water ....It should be watery & of pouring consistency...
Now take a non stick appam chatti/pan and heat it
When hot pour a laddle full of this batter & rotate the pan by spreading the batter to the sides leaving the centre a bit thick
Cover with a lid & let it cook for a minute on low to medium flame
When done remove from the pan gently. Here you do not flip the appam as a reqular dosa.
Serve hot with veg stew, chicken curry or chutney of your choice :blush:
