A simple & tasty dish. I love this dish that was always a part of my grand mother's array of dishes for us.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Prawns 10 [any other fish of your personal choice can be used]
  2. For marinating the prawns :
  3. Chilli powder 1 tbsp
  4. coriander powder 1tsp
  5. Ginger garlic paste 1tsp
  6. Rice flour 1tbsp
  7. Lemon juice 1tsp
  8. Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  9. Salt
  10. Oil, just to fry fish,
  11. For rice :
  12. Cooked basmati rice,1 + 1/2 cups.
  13. Onion,1,medium,
  14. Salt

Instructions

  1. Marinate prawns with the ingredients given for marination,except oil. Keep in fridge for 1hr.
  2. Cook the rice and keep aside.
  3. Take a pan,heat oil & fry prawns,till done. Fry them,on a slow fire. take out fried prawns.
  4. Remove oil from the pan,leaving the fried masala in it.
  5. Heat the same pan, add only 2 tsp of the same fried oil.
  6. Then add sliced onions,when well fried,add cooked rice ,stir well,adding enough salt. Let all rice coat the fried fish masala.
  7. Serve hot with fried fish & salad.
