ABOUT Whole wheat mooli paratha with instant mango pickle RECIPE

Wholesome and tasty radish parathas served with some pickle.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Grated radish (2 nos)
  2. Salt to taste
  3. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  4. Aamchur powder 1/2 tsp
  5. cumin seeds 1 tsp
  6. Ajwain [caraway seeds] 1/2 tsp
  7. Green chillies ( 3 to 4)
  8. Whole wheat aata 1 bowl
  9. Oil or ghee 1/2 cup( half for shallow frying parathas and half for kneading dough)
  10. Salt for kneading dough
  11. Red chilli powder 1 tsp for dough

Instructions

  1. First of all add little salt to the grated mooli [radish] so that it leaves all the water.
  2. Knead the normal dough using red chilli powder , salt, ghee or oil. I have used oil.
  3. Now squeeze radish, pressing hard to remove water .
  4. Add salt.
  5. Add red chilli powder, amchur powder, cumin seeds, ajwain, green chillies and coriander leaves.
  6. Roll a small ball size dough a little stuffing, reshape it back.
  7. Roll the stuffed balls and now cook the paratha on tawa with oil or ghee.
  8. Serve hot with pickle
