ABOUT Tahri RECIPE

Tahri is basically based on rice.An aromatic flavourful vegetarian rice dish pressure cooked to perfection for you to enjoy.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup rice( basmati rice)
  2. 1 cup cauliflower (chopped)
  3. 250gm green peas
  4. 1 potatoes (chopped)
  5. 2 tomotes (chopped)
  6. 1 inch ginger (greated)
  7. Half tea spoon Garam Masala
  8. 1/4 cumin seeds
  9. 1 green chilli
  10. 1 BAY LEAVES
  11. 1 pinch hing
  12. Half spoon coriander powder
  13. Half spoon Turmeric powder
  14. Salt to taste
  15. Ghee/Oil
  16. Garnish with green coriander

Instructions

  1. Soak the rice for 30 mins in water.
  2. Take a pressure cooker put some ghee.let the ghee heat add the cumin seeds,bay leaves,hing after few second.
  3. Add ginger and green chilli cook for few second.Now add all the spices mix it well.
  4. Now add potatoes,cauliflower and peas saute it for few second.After few second add tomotes and saute it for few second.Add salt to veggie according to your taste.
  5. Now add the soaked rice and saute it for few second.Now it time to close the led of the pressure cooker.And one whistle it.
  6. Now it is ready to eat. Garnish it with green coriander leaves.
