ABOUT Spinach sunflower pie RECIPE

Kids generally tend to avoid spinach and spinach is very rich in minerals and essential nutrients. so make this easy sunflower pie, made with spinach, to be served to the kids.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Maida 200 grm
  2. Butter 100 grm
  3. Herbs 1 tsp
  4. Few chilli flakes
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Chilled water
  7. For filling:-
  8. Butter 1 tsp
  9. Chopped onion 1
  10. Boiled potato 4
  11. Grated paneer 1/2 cup
  12. Boil and blanch palak 1 cup
  13. Cheese 1/2 cup
  14. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl,add maida ,add butter mix it well .and add herbs ,chilli flakes and little bit of chilled water and make a tight dough.keep aside for 5 min.
  2. Heat a pan add butter on it .add chopped onion and saute it.add potato , paneer and spinach mix it well.when the mixture is cool and add cheese mix it well.
  3. Divide the dough in to two portions ,roll the dough with a rolling pin and make a roti.cut the roti shape with the help of round cutter /thali .apply same method to the second roti shape.
  4. Place one roti shape on butter paper apply one full spoon of spinach paneer filling in the center and spread evenly .take second roti shape put it on the first one.seal the corners with the help of a fork.
  5. Put the small katori in the middle of the roti shape .take a knife and cut the sides in equal portion and fold like a flower petal.
  6. Apply some butter wash on the flower and bake for 30 min.at 180c .
  7. Serve hot.
