ABOUT Maash Ki Daal (White lentils or Urad daal) RECIPE

It is an energy booster. It has anti-inflammatory and anti-aging properties. Protein rich and improves digestion. Also, boosts our heart health. A must have breakfast of every Hyderabadi. I am no exception either.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. White lentils or urad daal 1 1/2 cups soaked for 4 hours
  2. Onions 2 finely sliced and deep fried. (Optional)
  3. Garlic mince 1 tsp
  4. Ginger juliennes of 1" piece ginger
  5. Salt 1 tsp
  6. 1 tbsp ghee
  7. Coriander leaves finely chopped 3 to 4 tbsp
  8. Green chillies finely chopped 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Boil the daal with salt and keep aside.
  2. In a pan heat the ghee and saute the garlic for a minute. Add the chopped coriander and chillies and finally add the boiled daal.
  3. Garnish with ginger juliennes and serve hot with rotis.
