ABOUT Pear Cake with Honey Glaze RECIPE

My kids don't eat Pears but when I added them to the cake, they loved it and the cake vanished in no time

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Pears 5 ripe(peeled and chopped)
  2. Maida 1 cup
  3. Whole wheat(atta) 1/2 cup
  4. Curd fresh 1 cup
  5. Baking powder 1 1/4tsp
  6. Baking soda 1/2 tsp
  7. Cinnamon powder 1/4 tsp
  8. Oil 1/2 cup
  9. Sugar 3/4 cup
  10. Almond powder 1/4 cup
  11. Dates 3 Tbsp (chopped )
  12. Honey 2 tbsp
  13. Brown sugar 2 tbsp
  14. Milk 3 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven at 180 °C
  2. Beat curd and sugar till dissolved
  3. Add baking powder and soda
  4. Mix and wait for 5 minutes till bubbles form
  5. Add oil and cinnamon powder
  6. Add sieved flours,almond powder,3 pears chopped,dates,milk,
  7. Mix lightly
  8. Do not over beat
  9. Pour in greased baking pan
  10. Arrange sliced pears on top
  11. Drizzle honey
  12. Sprinkle brown sugar
  13. Dunk in cinnamon stick for extra flavour
  14. Bake for 30 minutes or till toothpick inserted comes out clean
