A quick semi-dry paneer recipe with a tang of tomatoes and richness of cream. This is a very famous North Indian recipe

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Cottage cheese 250 gms
  2. Onions 3 large
  3. Tomatoes 3
  4. Capsicum 1
  5. Green chillies 2
  6. oil 2 tbsp
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Red chilli powder 1/2 tesp
  9. Turmeric powder 1/2 tesp
  10. Fresh cream 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Cut cottage cheese in cubes.
  2. Chop onions in thick dices.
  3. Chop tomatoes finely.
  4. Chop capsicum in dices.
  5. Heat a wok. Add oil.
  6. Add chopped onions. Saute till translucent and light pink.
  7. Add tomatoes.
  8. Add salt, turmeric, red chili powder. Mix. Cook covered till oil separates.
  9. Add fresh cream and capsicum. Mix and give a boil.
  10. Let it cook on sim for 3-4 minutes.
  11. Add paneer cubes and give a nice mix. Simmer for a minute. Done.
  12. Serve with naan or rumali roti.
