ABOUT Restaurant Style Chicken Lollipop RECIPE

Chicken lollipop is, essentially a french chicken winglet, wherein the meat is cut loose from the bone end and pushed down creating a lollipop appearance. It's one of the most ordered starter in the restaurants. The recipe is fairly easy to follow with yummy results.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 15 pieces frenched lollipop pieces
  2. For marinade -
  3. 2 tbsp Red Chilli Sauce or more if you like hotter
  4. 1 tbsp ginger paste
  5. 1 Tablespoon Garlic Paste
  6. 1 tsp Chilli Powder
  7. 3/4 tsp pepper powder
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 1 tbsp light Soya Sauce(1/2 tbsp if using dark soy sauce)
  10. 1 tbsp white vinegar
  11. 3 tbsp tomato ketchup
  12. 3 tbsp Cornflour / Cornstarch
  13. 3 tbsp All Purpose Flour / Maida

Instructions

  1. Firstly wash the lollipop pieces thoroughly and taking a soft cloth drain all the moisture out.
  2. Now mix all the marinating ingredients except cornflour and maida. Leave for 1 hour(max 2 hours) in fridge.
  3. When ready to fry, heat some oil.
  4. Mix cornflour and maida in the chicken.
  5. Drop in hot oil one by one, remember not to over crowd the oil. Cook for about 5 min on medium low heat or until chicken is cooked.
  6. Serve with coriander pickled onion rings.
  7. Enjoy!!
