ABOUT Curry Leaves Powder/ Karivepaku Podi RECIPE

Very ancient recipe. It's healthy, rich in iron content and has antibiotic properties. It is given to ladies after delivery to heal the inner wounds quickly.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Curry leaves -2 cups cleaned and dried
  2. Sesame seeds - 8tsp,
  3. Chickpea gram -2tsp,
  4. Red chillies- 8,
  5. Tamarind -1/2marble size
  6. Whole coriander seeds -1tsp,
  7. Fenugreek seeds- 1/4tsp
  8. Oil -2tsp,
  9. Salt as per taste.

Instructions

  1. Fry all the ingredients one by one except curry leaves.Grind it coarsely,
  2. Now fry the curry leaves till it all the moisture goes away and it becomes crisp. Now add this to the ground powder and grind it together adding salt. Remove in a plate and spread it.
  3. Let it cool and then use it.
  4. You can store this for 2 months. It is a good accompainment for idli,dosa,white rice ghee. You can make curry leaves rice with this powder.
