ABOUT God dhaan ( Gud ka pulaav ) RECIPE

Rice prepared in gud and coconut milk with dry fruits.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Rice 1 cup
  2. Jaggery (gud) 1 1/2 cup
  3. Cashew nuts 1 cup
  4. Saffron 2-3 strands
  5. Ghee 3 tbsp
  6. 1 cup thick Coconut milk
  7. Cinnamon 1/2 stick broken
  8. Bay leaf 1

Instructions

  1. Heat ghee in a wok add the cashew nuts and slightly fry until golden brown. Once done remove the cashews but don't remove ghee from the wok
  2. Melt the gud with little water and keep aside.
  3. In the ghee add dalchini and bay leave and let it crackle.
  4. Then add the rice with little water and coconut milk with saffron and let it cook. Once you put on dum add the cashews and then put on dum.
  5. Once done serve the yummilicious dish in lunch box.
