Badam burfi with jaggery

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Almonds - 3/4 cup
  2. Jaggery - 1/2 cup
  3. Cardamom powder - pinch, optional
  4. Ghee - 1 tbsp + extra for greasing

Instructions

  1. Grease a plate with ghee and keep aside. Grind almonds till fine powder.
  2. Take jaggery in a pan, add a tbsp of water and keep on low flame.
  3. Stir to break pieces of jaggery if any. It will melt soon so keep an eye. Add cardamom powder if using.
  4. Just when it looks like its thickening, (around 5 minutes) switch off flame, add ghee and ground almonds. Mix well.
  5. Pour onto greased plate and spread immediately. Leave to cool for 5 minutes and cut into pieces.
