Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Black chana (soaked overnight) 150 grams
  2. Potatoes 2 (boiled and cut into pieces)
  3. Tamarind juice 1/2 cup
  4. Red chilli powder 2 tsp
  5. Aamchur powder 1 tsp
  6. Coriander powder 1 1/2 tsp
  7. Zeera powder 1 1/2 tsp
  8. Black salt 1/2 tsp
  9. Asefoetida 1/4 tsp
  10. Crushed garlic 1 1/2 tsp
  11. oil 2 tbsp
  12. Coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil black chana and keep aside. Don't throw away the water.
  2. Heat oil in a wok, add garlic and saute till golden. then add all the ingredients and the chana water except potatoes. Cook till water reduces.
  3. When little gravy remains, add potatoes and cook for a while.
  4. When completely dry garnish with coriander and serve. Or pack in lunch box.
