ABOUT Kadhi Badi with Rice RECIPE

Bihari famous kadhi badi in my mother's style and it is lovely to have for lunch

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Rice
  2. For Pakodas
  3. Gram flour 1 1/2 tbsp
  4. Cabbage 1 tbsp
  5. Medium size onion 1
  6. Green chilly 1 or 2
  7. Salt as per taste
  8. Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  9. Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
  10. Black pepper 1/2 tsp
  11. Water
  12. For Kadhi
  13. Curd approx 250 ml
  14. Gram flour 4 tsp
  15. Salt as per taste
  16. Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  17. For tempering
  18. Oil 1 tsp
  19. Zeera 1/4 tsp
  20. Mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
  21. Onion small 1
  22. Kadhi leaves few
  23. red dry chilli 1 or 2

Instructions

  1. Cook rice normally
  2. For pakodas
  3. Add all the ingredients of pakodas and add water little by little and make a thick batter
  4. Heat deep frying pan and add oil to fry
  5. Put a spoonful of batter and fry pakodas till brown and crispy
  6. Keep it in a plate
  7. For kadhi
  8. Heat pan add little oil, put zeera, mustard seeds, red dry chilli, kadhi leaves, onion and fry a little
  9. Then mix all the ingredients of kadhi and add to the pan and boil for 10 - 15 min
  10. Then add pakodas and boil for 2 minutes and it is ready
