ABOUT Spicy Prawns Gravy RECIPE

A spicy prawns gravy which is an absolute combination for ghee rice or jeera rice.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Prawns 1/2 kg
  2. 2 onion chopped
  3. 2 big tomatoes chopped
  4. Half bunch of coriander leaves
  5. Black pepper 1/2 tablespoon
  6. Green chillies 6-7 pieces
  7. 1/2 inch cinnamon
  8. Cloves 2-3
  9. Cooking cream or cashew paste 2 tablespoon
  10. Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  11. 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  12. Oil 3 tablespoon
  13. 7-8 garlic cloves
  14. Ginger 1 inch
  15. Roasted saunf 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Clean the prawns and keep it in the bowl.
  2. Take a pan and heat 2-3 tsp of oil in the pan, then add in the cloves, cinnamon, chopped onion and fry till it turns golden brown in colour.
  3. Take the green chilli, coriander leaves, roasted saunf, ginger, garlic, black pepper and grind it in a blender.
  4. Add this grounded mixture into the fried onion pan and cook it for a minute. Then add in the chopped tomatoes and salt into the pan. Stir it well.
  5. Next add the prawns into the pan and cook it for 1-2 minutes. Then add in the cashew paste or cooking cream into the pan and cook it for 2 3 minutes.
  6. Add in the lemon juice and garnish it with spring onion and coriander leaves.
  7. Your delicious prawns gravy is ready to be served!
