ABOUT Badami Kaddu Ki Kheer RECIPE

Simple kaddu (Lauki) ki kheer, but with a new twist to it by adding readymade badam mix

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Bottle gourd or lauki 1 medium one grated
  2. Condensed milk 4 to 5 tbsp
  3. cardamom powder 1 tsp
  4. Readymade badam mix 1 packet
  5. Milk 2 litres
  6. Sugar about 1/2 cup
  7. Pistachios as needed to sprinkle on top
  8. Dried powdered rice 100gm

Instructions

  1. Wash the rice, soak it in enough water and leave it to dry.
  2. After it dries, powder it and keep aside
  3. Boil the milk and allow it to simmer on low flame until it reduces to 3/4 th of it's original volume.
  4. Add the grated bottle gourd and cook until done.
  5. Add the condensed milk, powdered rice, cardamom powder, sugar and the readymade badam mix.
  6. Stir it briskly and adjust the consistency to your liking.
  7. Switch off the flame and garnish with pistachios.
  8. Serve it cold or warm as desired.
  9. No need to add any kesar as we are using the readymade mix here.
