ABOUT Spicy Egg Masala RECIPE

This is one of my favourite egg dishes. It is quick and very easy to make and tastes delicious.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Egg 3
  2. Water as required to boil eggs
  3. Fennel Seeds 1 tsp
  4. Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  5. Onion 1 large finely chopped
  6. Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
  7. Green chilly 3 chopped
  8. Tomato 2 medium finely chopped
  9. Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  10. Cumin Powder 1/2 tsp
  11. Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
  12. Red chilly powder 2 tsp
  13. Garam masala powder 2 tsp
  14. Peppercorns 1 tsp cracked
  15. Salt to taste
  16. Oil 3-4 tsp
  17. Chopped coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Take water in a pan. Add the eggs gently and bring to boil and let it get hard boiled which will take around 10 mins.
  2. Remove from the heat and pour cold water. Remove the shell and cut the egg into halves.
  3. In a pan heat oil.
  4. Add the fennel and mustard seeds and let it crackle.
  5. Add the onion and saute till onion turns soft.
  6. Add the green chilli and ginger garlic paste and saute for 2 mins.
  7. Add the masala powders, salt and cracked peppercorns, mix well and saute for a min.
  8. Add the tomatoes and saute till oil starts to separate.
  9. Add the eggs and gently mix well without separating the yolk from the egg.
  10. Simmer for a min or two. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve.
