Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. To Grind:
  2. Mace - 1
  3. Star anise - 1
  4. Cinnamon 1 stick
  5. Pepper 10 nos
  6. Green cardamom 3 nos
  7. Cloves 3
  8. Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
  9. To fry:
  10. Onion 2 nos
  11. Bay leaves 2 nos
  12. Green Chilly 4 nos
  13. Chilly powder 1 tablespoon according to the spice threshold
  14. Mint leaves 1 handful
  15. Coriander leaves 1 handful
  16. Coriander powder 2 tablespoon
  17. Curd 1/2 cup
  18. Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
  19. Eggs 4
  20. ghee as required
  21. oil as required

Instructions

  1. To make briyani powder grind the ingredients given to grind.
  2. In a pan, add 3 tablespoon of oil and 2 bay leaves. Add freshly ground masala and saute for few minutes. Then add thinly sliced onions, salt and wait for them to turn golden brown.
  3. Now add ginger garlic paste and 4 green chillies. As the raw smell is gone, add 1/2 turmeric powder and 1 tablespoon Chilly powder and mix it.
  4. Add some cashews for taste and then mint and coriander leaves.
  5. Add 1/2 cup of yogurt and 3 cups of water. For 2 cups of rice.
  6. Now add the rice pour some ghee and mix it well. Cover and cook until all the water is absorbed in the rice.
  7. Meanwhile, boil the eggs and peel them. Heat a pan, pour oil as it heats, put turmeric powder 1 pinch, Chilly powder 1 teaspoon, coriander powder 1 teaspoon, cumin powder 1 teaspoon.
  8. Cut the boiled egg into 2 pieces and place it for 2 minutes. Now add over to the cooked briyani.
