ABOUT A Different Coconut Chutney RECIPE

Chutney prepared with a bit old coconut pieces.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Grated coconut 1 cup
  2. Grated ginger 1/2 tbsp
  3. Green chillies 2
  4. Tamarind 1 small lemon size
  5. Jaggery 1/2 piece
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Oil 1 tsp for frying
  8. For tempering-Hing powder 1 pinch, mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves and oil

Instructions

  1. Fry the green chillies, ginger, Hing and coconut in 1 tsp oil.
  2. Add tamarind and jaggery, remove from fire.
  3. Grind in a mixie jar to a thick paste.
  4. Season with seasoning ingredients and serve with steaming idli or rice.
