ABOUT Piyush RECIPE

This is a smooth and creamy beverage popular in the maharashtrian and gujrati cuisine of western india.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Cardamom - Saffron flavored shrikhand 1 1/2 cups
  2. Curd 3/4 to 1 cup
  3. Milk 2 to 3 tbsp
  4. Sugar as required
  5. 1/4 tsp Green cardamom powder
  6. ¼ tsp nutmeg powder
  7. 6 to 7 pistachios, sliced
  8. 1 to 2 pinches of saffron

Instructions

  1. Take the shrikhand, yogurt, milk, sugar, cardamom powder, nutmeg powder in a mixing bowl. Just blend everything well till smooth and creamy.
  2. You can also blend in a jar using an electric blender. Keep the piyush in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  3. Pour the chilled piyush in glasses, and top with pistachio slices and saffron.
  4. Serve the Piyush immediately.
