ABOUT Instant Jalebi RECIPE

A Jalebi recipe that is cooked without fermentation. A quick dessert to try.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1/2 bowl maida/flour
  2. 1/2 bowl curd
  3. 1 tsp besan/ chickpea flour
  4. 1 tsp rava/semolina
  5. A pinch baking soda
  6. 1/2 cup Sugar
  7. Water as required
  8. 1 tsp cardamom powder

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl, add the maida, curd, rava, besan and combine it together and make a cake like batter. Add water if needed, then leave this mixture aside for 10 minutes. Now add the soda and mix it well.
  2. Take a deep bottomed pan, add pure ghee to fry the jalebi, then fill the batter in a piping bag or sipper bottle.
  3. Once the ghee is hot, drop down the batter in the shape of round circles and fry till it is golden in colour.
  4. In a pan, add sugar and water to make a syrup and make it like that of gulab jamun chasni.
  5. Then dip the fried jalebis into this syrup and serve it hot.
