Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Burans flower-1kg
  2. Water-1.5litres
  3. Sugar-700grams
  4. Citric acid-20grams

Instructions

  1. Firstly remove the stigma and stem of all flowers.Wash thoroughly under running water.
  2. Take water in a large utensil and add flowers to it.When it comes to boil,simmer the gas.
  3. Cook for another 20-25 minutes on simmer gas.
  4. Turn off the gas and allow it to cool down for 15-20 minutes.When this mixture have cooled down sieve this flower juice through a siever.
  5. Also take flowers in a siever and mash them with the help of your hand.This will help you in extracting more juice.
  6. Transfer flower juice in a big utensil.Add sugar and citric acid to it.
  7. When it comes to boil simmer the gas and cook for another 20 minutes.
  8. Turn off the gas and allow it to cool down completely.
  9. Transfer in a glass and see the bright red colour of squash.
  10. You can transfer this squash in a air tight bottle.It can be used for several months.
  11. This is a basic recipe.You can make many other recipes from this squash.
